To Customers in America and Canada, please read the following information before ordering:

All DVDs that Tractormec produce are in the PAL format not NTSC. The PAL format is used in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, while the NTSC format is used in America and Canada.

What does this mean for me ?.

It may cause issues depending on your equipment - see below:

If using a DVD player and television - check that the player is a "Multizone" or "Region Zero" as these will play all DVDs (look in manual or region logo on back of player) - in addition check that the television can display the PAL format by looking in the manual or on-screen menu to see if PAL is mentioned as the TV will need to be set on PAL.

If using a laptop or other computer - as a computer uses a monitor not a TV screen there should be no problem, they should play all DVDs - however be aware that some models allow you to play 5 discs from varying regions but then "Lock" to the region of the 5th disc played.

Today as modern electronics tend to be mass produced in developing countries this is less of a problem, models are less region specific because manufacturers supply the mass global market, not just one country.

Customers in America and Canada are advised to check that their DVD player/television/computer is compatable with the PAL format before ordering to avoid dissapointment.

Machinery for Silage Making & Ground Crop Sprayers (still image filmstrip)   Order Code:  AS1

After World War II the then Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries set out to improve the productivity and efficiency of British agriculture by promoting mechanisation along with the latest techniques and good practice of the times.

Making hay was the traditional way of preserving grass for winter feed, however it was labour intensive and very dependant on the fickle British sunshine. Silage was less weather dependant and could produce a high value feed with little waste if made correctly.

Traditionally crop rotations had been used to keep weeds and pests at bay, now monocropping was coming to the fore which relied on spraying pesticides to keep the pests down and yields up.

Rare original archive filmstrip from the late 1940's reproduced with permission from D.E.F.R.A.  Introduction, narration and commentary by Mike Perry.

Running time approximately 40 minutes.     PAL  DVD  £15-00  (please note this is a black & white filmstrip)

Dexta Dual Clutch Overhaul           Order Code:  DC1

Dual clutches or 'Livedrive' as it was often known featured two clutch plates, one for the transmission and a separate one for the PTO and proved to be a popular feature of tractors from the 1960's. The PTO clutch could be operated by a hand lever or by a 'two stage' clutch pedal, pushing the pedal halfway down disengaged the transmission while fully down disengaged the transmission and the PTO.  Using a 'hands on' approach this presentation follows the dismantling, repair, re-assembly and setting up of a Fordson Super Dexta dual clutch. In addition flywheel run-out, clutch adjustment and gearbox input shaft replacement are detailed. Improvisation plays a key role to overcome the lack of special tools. Although based on a Fordson Super Dexta the basic procedures shown will be applicable to other makes and models of tractor fitted with dual clutches.
